Nurturing & Supportive
I create classroom environments where students feel safe, loved, and encouraged to take risks and learn from their mistakes without fear.
I am a credentialed teacher and mom of three returning to the classroom with a strong foundation in elementary education and a passion for science and inquiry-based learning. I create structured, nurturing classrooms where young students feel loved, safe, and excited to grow.
About
I am Annie Nidzieko, a preliminary credentialed teacher with experience across TK–5th grade, special education, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade. I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Foundational-Level General Science Certification from San Diego State University.
As a parent of three and a longtime classroom volunteer at Calavera Hills Elementary, I deeply understand young learners, family partnerships, and the importance of consistent, patient support. I am especially interested in elementary or middle school science teaching opportunities throughout San Diego County.
"I teach because every child deserves a classroom where they feel loved, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential."
My Teaching Philosophy
The six pillars that guide everything I do in a classroom.
I create classroom environments where students feel safe, loved, and encouraged to take risks and learn from their mistakes without fear.
Students thrive with consistent routines, calm expectations, and predictable daily flow that builds real confidence and independence over time.
I support academic progress alongside social-emotional skills, resilience, a sense of belonging, and joy — because the whole child matters.
Science is best taught through hands-on exploration, observation, questioning, and collaboration — helping students see themselves as capable problem solvers.
Every child deserves a seat at the table. I work to ensure that no student ever feels invisible — building a classroom community where differences are honored and everyone belongs.
Learning should feel alive. I weave creativity, play, and genuine delight into daily instruction because joy isn't a reward for getting work done — it's how children learn best.

Areas of Strength
Five core strengths that define my practice as an educator.
Skilled in supporting kindergarten and first grade students with routines, transitions, early literacy, number sense, and social development.
Foundational-Level General Science certified with a background in health science. Passionate about hands-on, student-centered instruction.
Experienced adapting lessons to meet varied academic, language, and learning needs through small groups and targeted support for IEP and EL students.
Builds respectful, safe, and joyful learning environments through genuine relationships, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
Strong team player who communicates effectively with teachers, staff, families, and administrators to support every student's success.
